Sherry Pruitt, M.Ed., ET/P is an educational consultant, educational therapist, author, international speaker, and co-owner, founder, and Clinical Director of Parkaire Consultants. Sherry will speak on Disorganized in an Organized World, A New Direction for the Brain. As well as being the mother of two neurologically impaired sons, Sherry has extensive knowledge and has done work with neurologically impaired individuals and has created a life-long commitment to helping people with neurological impairments. This includes being a well known expert and speaker on the subject of executive function, the topic of our event. She has written several books, her most recent, Tigers,Too - Executive Functions/Speed of Processing/Memory, which will be on sale that evening.

This seminar is designed to equip parents, teachers, and health professionals with practical tools to recognize symptoms of basic nutritional deficiencies in children which may interfere with optimal development and learning. Discover creative strategies to improve each child’s attention, behavior, and cognition to enhance school performance.

Programming includes: 1) how to know if a child is not progressing due to food allergies or food sensitivities, 2) special dietary information regarding gluten and casein free diets for autism/PDD, and 3) how to recognize symptoms of basic nutritional deficiencies such as essential fatty acid deficiency and applying corrective measures.
