Director’s Blog We love your comments!
1. The speaker, Sheryl Pruitt, and the panel of experts We really appreciated hearing all the comments even the areas of improvement which included getting a better microphone (oops, didn’t know that would happen), have more information in my area of the city, make it longer and have a student express their opinion. All in all it was a great event and yet another way that Kids Enabled seeks to fulfill our mission of providing resources that will help families through the journey from awareness to success. To view photos of the event, go to our Kids Enabled Facebook page. We also announced our next Kids Enabled Community Resource Fair to be held on January 23, 2011 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Stay tuned for more details about A Walk in Your Child’s Shoes where exhibitors will help you experience what it is like to be a child with a learning difference. Last but certainly not least, in our feature article this month, mom’s Mary Swinn and Stephanie Shapiro give us insight into the life of a child with mitochondrial disease. It is an enlightening article you won’t want to miss. Until next time!
