Responses from attendees Shellie Johnson said “I was greatly impressed! Where else could a parent find and interact with all these great resources in one place? It was great and I’m so glad I attended!”
Cindy MacNabb stated, “I came to get a good overview of available resources for my grandson with autism. I wanted to learn about summer options as well as the latest therapies. I left with information on a school I wanted to visit, 3 summer opportunities to explore, a therapy I want to look into, a more supportive church option and the idea of a fun circus outing which should be appropriate for my grandson!”
Special Guest – Brad Cohen!Brad Cohen wowed the crowd with the inspirational story of his struggles with Tourette Syndrome
Providing resources for great kids
The vision of Kids Enabled is to create an informed community where all children with learning differences have access to the resources that will help them reach their full potential as both students and members of the community. The Resource Fair was an effective way for parents to learn about resources through a “one-stop shopping” experience. Parents also had the opportunity to network and share with other parents. Through the hard work of the Kids Enabled, Inc. staff, the public relations professionals at PennHouse Productions, and the generous sponsorship of Brain Balance, LearningRx, Kids Creek, Children’s Special Services and nutritionist Carol Ann Brannon, the Kids Enabled Resource Fair provided opportunities for parents to learn about the available options for treatment and therapy for kids with learning differences.
